General Omapariola Appointed New Commander for 17 Brigade Katsina, Operation Hadarin Daji

Brigadier General Omapariola has replaced Fadairo as 17 Brigade Commander and Sector 2 Joint Task Force leader in Katsina.

Brigadier General Babatunde Omapariola has been announced the new Brigade Commander for the 17 Brigade Nigeria Army Katsina and also the Commander Sector 2 Joint Task Force Northwest Operation HADARIN DAJI after the posting of Brigadier General Oluremi Fadairo to the 12 Brigade Lokoja as its Commander.

The handing and taking over was performed at the Natsinta Cantonment Katsina where Brigadier General Fadairo praised the officers and soldiers of the Brigade for their unwavering support and cooperation during his tenure.

He urged them to maintain their commitment and discipline and expressed confidence in Brigadier General Omopariola’s ability to lead the Brigade to even greater achievements.

In his maiden address to the officers of the Brigade, Brigadier General Omopariola commended his predecessor for his successful service record and expressed his readiness to collaborate with all officers and soldiers to ensure lasting peace and stability within the Brigade’s Area of Responsibility (AOR).

Prior to his new appointment ,Brigadier General Omopariola served as the Chief of Staff, Headquarters 6 Division Nigerian Army, Port Harcourt.

Highlights of the event were the signing of the Handing and Taking Over notes, the symbolic Handing Over of the Command Flag, and a Quarter Guard parade.
