A former Nigerian Minister of External Affairs, Bolaji Akinyemi has warned African leaders that France should be the last country to be regarded as a friend of the African continent.
According to the former Minister, France’s fingers are dripping with blood for their support of various terrorist groups in the continent.
Akinyemi, a professor of Political Science and International Relations stated this when he featured on an ARISE News programme, The Morning Show noting that France is one of the problems of Africa and could not be part of the solution.
His warning comes on the heels of President Muhammadu Buhari’s trip to France in an attempt to attract among other things, debt relief to Nigeria and Africa at the just concluded France-Africa Financial Summit.
