A three-storey building under construction has collapsed in Obalende, Lagos State.
The cause of the collapse is yet to be ascertained, but efforts are presently ongoing by the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) and other responders towards salvaging the situation.
As at 5:40pm Nigerian time, four people three males, one female) were recovered dead while eight people (all male) were extricated alive by the LASEMA Response Team and other stakeholders.
The injured have been attended to and transferred to the hospital by LASEMA paramedics for further medical attention at Lagos Island General hospital.
Recovery operation still ongoing as more people are still trapped in the building.
