Presidential candidate of the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2019 presidential election Atiku Abubakar has embarked on a “massive membership e-registration drive” for his support organisation aimed at mobilising support for his 2023 presidential bid.
Atiku, a former Nigerian Vice President in 2020 inaugurated Atiku Support Groups across the 36 states of the federation, with Atiku Aminu Mohammed as Chairman of the Atiku Support Organisation (ASO).
The mission of the organisation is to project the former vice-president’s visionary idea of sustainable national development as he prepares to formally declare his intention to contest the 2023 presidential election.
In a short statement by Dr El Mo Victor, the National Publicity Secretary of the organisation, he called on citizens to become a member of the Atiku Support Organisation.
“As part of a deliberate effort towards attaining the objectives of Atiku Support Organisation, we are embarking on a massive membership e-registration drive,” the statement read.
Mr Victor urged members of the public to register.
He also thanked Nigerians for their usual cooperation and understanding.
