Following Suspension, Humanitarian Affairs Minister Betta Edu Denied Access To Tinubu At Presidential Villa

She succeeded in clearing all security checks up to the president’s office but didn’t get to see him before her access tag was withdrawn.

The suspended Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Dr. Betta Edu, was on Monday afternoon denied access to President Bola Tinubu at the State House, Abuja.

Edu had arrived the seat of government shortly after her suspension was announced on Monday with the intention of having a personal discussion with the president.

While the embattled Minister succeeded in clearing all security checks up to the president’s office, she was however not lucky to see him in his office.

It was also gathered that apart from her inability to have audience with President Tinubu, her access tag to the State House was immediately withdrawn from her by the president’s security.

She was immediately ferried out of the president’s office in a Toyota Hilux truck belonging to State House security.

It was not immediately clear whether she was later allowed to use her official vehicle out of the premises of the Presidential Villa.
