First Bank of Nigeria has denied allegations of fraud leveled against it by a Nigerian Businessman, Dr. Agbai Eke, who alleged that the bank had defrauded him of over 550 million Naira from his fixed deposit account.

In a statement, by Olayinka Ijabiyi,the bank’s Acting Group Head of Marketing & Corporate Communications findings indicate unprofessional and unethical dealings between Dr. Agbai Eke and a former FirstBank employee, involving a personal relationship to facilitate unauthorized transactions outside the bank’s knowledge or involvement.

A Lagos-based National Youth Service Corps member, Ushie Uguamaye was trending over the weekend, after she expressed frustration in a viral video on TikTok- over the high cost of living in Nigeria.

Uguamaye criticized President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, calling him a terrible president and questioning what his administration is doing to address the economic crisis.

In a surprise twist of events shortly after that video gained traction, Uguamaye alleged in another TikTok video that she began receiving threats, reportedly from NYSC officials, pressuring her to take down her video.

A 2022 video of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu then the APC presidential candidate, promising to provide constant electricity in the first term of his administration if he was elected president has resurfaced online.

Tinubu said during the campaign, that if he didn’t deliver on his promise, he should be voted out.

Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, was trending over the weekend, after he revealed that political leaders were aware of the controversy surrounding President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s academic records in Chicago before the 2023 presidential but still supported him.

He said they hoped Tinubu would replicate his achievements in Lagos at the national level. El-Rufai spoke to BBC Hausa.

Meanwhile, a 2022 video of President tinubu dancing with Elrufai has resurfaced online.
