The headquarters of the Christ Embassy Church, located in the Oregun area of Ikeja, Lagos State, reportedly caught fire on Sunday morning.
The incident has garnered widespread attention, with multiple videos from the scene shared on social media platform X.com (formerly Twitter).
The blaze, which erupted early in the day, prompted an immediate response from the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service.
Firefighters have been reported to be on the scene trying to contain the flames and prevent further damage to the building and surrounding areas.
Eyewitnesses at the scene captured and shared the unfolding events online. One such user, Augustine, tweeting as Chief_Augustin1, posted a video showing the extent of the fire.
He wrote, “Christ Embassy Church on Billings Way, Oregun, is on fire. Serious fire is raging, and men of the Lagos State Fire Service are working hard to put it off. Thank God service hasn’t commenced fully.”
The cause of the fire remains unknown at this time, and no casualties have been reported.
