Elder statesman and former Governor of Anambra state, Chukwuemeka Ezeife is accusing the Nigerian government of frustrating citizens of Igbo extraction in the southeast and pushing them out of the country.

Mr Ezeife was a guest on ARISE Newsnight on Wednesday and noted that there is a concerted effort in some quarters to tarnish the reputation of the Igbos and make them look like what they are not.
According to the former governor, the agitations in the southeast is a reaction from the people to what’s being meted out by the federal government.
