An early Tuesday morning explosion has hit Sabon Gari area of Kano state, Northwest Nigeria.
The explosion occurred close to a school injuring a number of children.
According to reports confirmed by Kano State Commissioner of Police, Sama’ila Dikko, it was a gas cylinder explosion.
The reports said the gas cylinder seller’s shop is on the ground floor of the building where the school is located, and when the cylinder exploded, it brought down the building and the pupils got injured.
