Euro 2024: Kylian Mbappé To Avoid Surgery Despite Broken Nose

France’s aspirations in Euro 2024 have received a significant boost following confirmation that star forward Kylian Mbappe will not need surgery despite sustaining a broken nose.

The 25-year-old endured the injury during Les Bleus’ hard-fought 1-0 triumph over Austria in their tournament opener on Monday.

The incident occurred in the later stages of the match when Mbappe collided brutally with Austrian defender Kevin Danso, prompting immediate concerns from medical staff regarding the severity of the injury and its potential impact on Mbappe’s participation in the championship.

However, in a reassuring development for the French national team, it was disclosed in the early hours of Tuesday morning that Mbappe’s condition does not necessitate surgical intervention.

This news has alleviated fears within the camp, providing a boost to Didier Deschamps’ squad ahead of their upcoming fixtures.

Further reports from French outlet L’Equipe indicated that Mbappe departed a hospital in Dusseldorf late on Monday evening after undergoing extensive examinations and receiving a diagnosis for his injury.

This swift confirmation that Mbappe can continue without surgery underscores the positive outlook for France as they navigate through the challenges of Euro 2024.
