Nigeria’s Inspector General of Police Mohammed Adamu has announced the dissolution of the Special Anti-robbery Squad, otherwise known as SARS. The IGP made this known during a press conference in Abuja on Sunday.
This follows days of protests by Nigerians across the country.

“All officers serving within the unit are to be redeployed with immediate effect,” the police boss said at a press conference.
