Egyptian Olympic Wrestler Mohamed ‘Kesho’ Ibrahim Arrested In Paris For Sexual Assault

Egyptian Olympic wrestler Mohamed ‘Kesho’ Ibrahim has been arrested for allegedly touching the buttocks of a customer at a cafe.

Egyptian Olympic wrestler Mohamed ‘Kesho’ Ibrahim was arrested in Paris on August 9 for alleged sexual assault.

The Paris prosecutor’s office stated that Kesho, a member of Egypt’s Olympic delegation, was apprehended around 5 a.m. outside the Oz Cafe after allegedly touching another customer’s buttocks.

Kesho, who won a bronze medal at the Tokyo 2020 Games, faces a potential lifetime ban from competition if the allegations are confirmed, according to the Egyptian Olympic Committee (EOC). The EOC announced that Kesho will be investigated by its ethics committee, and if found guilty, he will be permanently suspended from both domestic and international competitions.

Kesho, who was defeated in the first round of the men’s 67kg Greco-Roman wrestling by Azerbaijan’s Hasrat Jafarov, had been granted permission to leave the Egyptian camp to watch the final of his weight category but failed to return and turned off his phone.
