Dignitaries To Pay Homage To Cairo Ojougboh At Night Of Tribute

Late Cairo Ojougboh will be honoured at his Night Of Tribute in Abuja by dignitaries including Goodluck Jonathan.

The upcoming Night of Tribute for the late Dr. Cairo Ojougboh is poised to be a significant gathering filled with esteemed dignitaries, with former President Goodluck Jonathan leading the list of prominent attendees.

Dr. Ojougboh, a revered figure known for his staunch nationalism and distinguished tenure as a member of the House of Representatives, tragically passed away during the viewing of the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) semi-final match between Nigeria and South Africa.

At the age of 64, Dr. Ojougboh, an eminent Agbor Chief holding the title of The Akinuwa of Agbor in Delta State, will be fondly remembered as not only a devoted patriot but also a loving family man. His commitment to family values served as a guiding principle throughout his life, emphasizing the importance of nurturing deep relationships and cherishing moments of togetherness.

Beyond his roles as a politician and philanthropist, Dr. Ojougboh left an indelible mark on Nigerian society, embodying the spirit of service and dedication to the betterment of his community. His legacy serves as an inspiration to all who strive for positive change and progress.

The Night of Tribute, scheduled to take place in Abuja on Sunday, April 14, 2024, at 4 p.m., will be held at the prestigious A-Class Event Centre, located at Plot 102, Kashim Ibrahim Way, Maitama, Abuja.

The event is expected to draw the presence of governors from the South-South region, as well as leaders from both the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC). Eminent personalities such as elder statesman Pa Edwin Clark and former Governor of Borno State Ali Modu Sheriff are also anticipated to attend, alongside various other distinguished guests.

The evening promises to be a heartfelt commemoration of Dr. Cairo Ojougboh’s remarkable life and enduring contributions to the nation.
