However, despite initial problems with audio clarity and connectivity, the live conversation became one of X’s most-watched events, amassing 1 billion views in total.
A post by the official X account said, “Between 7:47 PM and 10:47 PM ET, President Donald Trump’s Space post received 73 million views. During the same period, there were 4 million posts about Elon Musk and President Trump’s conversation on X, generating a total of 998 million views.”
Elon Musk confirmed the achievement in a reply, stating, “Combined views of the conversation with @realDonaldTrump and subsequent discussion by other accounts now 1 billion.”
The discussion covered a broad spectrum of topics as Trump revisited his critiques of current administration policies and shared his vision for economic and regulatory reforms. Musk highlighted advancements in space travel with SpaceX and electric vehicle innovations through Tesla, framing these developments as essential for a sustainable future.
Both figures addressed the role of technology in politics, with Musk defending the value of digital platforms in fostering open dialogue and Trump voicing concerns about censorship and its impact on political engagement.
