On Monday, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari, was found out and subsequently arrested illicit drug trafficking and attempting to bribe an NDLEA officer.
Kyari already faces indictment for his alleged involvement with advance fee fraudster, Ramon Abbas, also known as Hushpuppi, and faces possible extradition to the U.S. to stand trial.
The disgraced officer was caught in a sting operation over his involvement with an international drug cartel that operates the Brazil-Ethiopia-Nigeria illicit drug pipeline.
To discuss the latest saga involving Kyari, what this says about the Nigerian socio-political landscape and the upcoming elections, is Dele Farotimi, a lawyer, political and civil rights activist.
Mr Farotimi also shares his views on the Electoral Act (Amendment) Bill, which President Muhammadu Buhari is accused of ignoring since it was sent to him by the National Assembly.
