The three-day virtual presentation of the 55th NAACP Image Awards
concluded on Wednesday with big wins for Davido, Tems and Lojay.
During the virtual ceremony on Monday night, Nigerian singers, Davido, Lojay and Tems were among the winners on night one of the 2024 NAACP Image Awards, which were held virtually at naacpimageawards.net on Monday, March 11.
Davido and Lojay got awarded because of their feature on Chris Brown’s ‘Sensational’, which won the Outstanding Duo, Group or Collaboration (contemporary) award.
Tems, however, took home an award in a different category- Outstanding International Song for ‘Me & U.’
The NAACP Image Awards will broadcast live from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on Saturday, March 16, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on BET and CBS. Queen Latifah will return to host the awards after emceeing the ceremony for the first time last year.
During the broadcast, the NAACP will honor writer, poet and activist Amanda Gorman with the prestigious Chairman’s Award, while Grammy-nominated R&B group New Edition will be inducted into the NAACP Image Awards Hall of Fame.
