Davido Debuts on Billboard 200 with ‘A Better Time’

Davido’s latest album ‘A Better Time’ has made it to the Billboard 200 chart, America’s premier album chart.

The Nigerian star’s latest offering debuted at No. 170, a week after its release.

It’s Davido’s first appearance on Billboard 200, but his huge hit and silver-certified single, ‘Fall’ has been on a few Billboard charts including the Digital Song Sales Charts.

Moreover, the star has had four entries on the Top Thriller Global chart. The hit ‘FEM’ off ‘A Better Time’ peaked at number 3 on September 26 this year and spent seven weeks on the chart.

He joins fellow superstar artists Wizkid and Burna Boy whose 2020 albums ‘Made in Lagos’ and ‘Twice as Tall’ debuted at No. 80 and No, 54 on the Billboard 200 respectively.

For Wizkid, this was his second appearance on the charts after ‘Sounds From The Other Side’ debuted at No. 107.

All three artists follow in the footsteps of the legendary King Sunny Ade who saw two of his albums debut in the Billboard 200 in the 80’s.
