CSU Certificate: Atiku Has No Moral Grounds To Question Tinubu, Says Achimugu

The senior media assistant to the minister of Aviation, Michael Achimugu has said that the People’s Democratic Party’s Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar lacks the moral grounds to chase after President Tinubu.

Achimugu, in an interview with ARISE NEWS on Monday, also said that there is no logic that makes it okay for any anti-corrupt person to support Atiku Abubakar.

He said “It is a man who does not have the moral high ground that is even chasing the president. I am even more shocked by the persons who now come out to support and help Atiku Abubakar in trying to get at President Tinubu.

“There is no logic that makes it okay to say you are anti-corruption and you are helping a man like Atiku Abubakar. On what basis should anybody be helping Atiku? If you say that you are writing to the FBI to give you information about Tinubu, did you forget that Atiku himself has a file with the FBI?

“If you talk about the fact that Tinubu had a bank account flagged in the US, did you forget that Atiku also had a bank account with even more money flagged in the US as well. So, on what basis would anyone come out to say he is supporting Atiku?”

Speaking on the addition of “Adekunle” to President Tinubu’s name on Wikipedia, Achimugu said he has never viewed the president’s Wikipedia page and has no idea what goes on there.

“I have never viewed the President’s Wikipedia page. I have no information about that. I have also been told by tech people that the Wikipedia page can be edited by a number of persons and it does not mean that the president himself has ordered any such thing.

Also responding to the tweet made by the aviation minister, Keyamo, in 2019, which stated that “forgery occurs when the supposed author of a document denies ever making it or denies its authenticity”, the media assistant said that people have the right to change their perspective about issues when new information is made available.

“I was not a media aide to the minister of aviation when he said that and I have not seen that tweet and I do not understand the context with which he spoke about in the tweet.

“People are open to changing their perspective about issues when new information is made available. A man has a right to change his mind. it is only people who are not honest and proactive that take a position and refuse to shift even when new information is made available and I don’t think that is a right way to live.” he said

The All-Progressive Congress, APC has berated the People’s Democratic Party’s Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar over the utterances he made on Thursday, at the world press conference over president Tinubu’s certificate saga.

In a statement, the APC said the press conference lack purpose and delivered nothing but a pitiful regurgitation of lies, mindless distortions and deliberate falsehoods.
