Croatia captain Domagoj Vida played the first half of his country’s 3-3 draw in an international friendly with Turkey before finding out he had tested positive for coronavirus.
Vida, who was already scheduled to be substituted at the break, was replaced for the second half on Wednesday.
A statement said: “Vida will, in accordance with regulations, spend the next few days in self-isolation in Istanbul.”
Croatia next faces Sweden in the Nations League on Saturday.
