Justice Hamza Muazu of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory has granted former Central Bank Governor Godwin Emefiele bail in the sum of three hundred million naira with two sureties in like sum and is also to deposit his travel documents.
These sureties who must be owners of landed property in Maitama are ordered to deposit the certificate of occupancy of the properties.
Meanwhile, the judge ordered that Mr Emefiele be remanded at the Kuje Correctional Centre pending fulfillment of the bail conditions.
Full trial of the former CBN governor who faces six count charge of alleged procurement fraud begins November 28.
