Earlier this month, Nigeria’s vice-president, Yemi Osinbajo, criticised the Central Bank Governor for what he called an “artificially low” exchange rate. Osinbajo went on to say he was convinced that the demand management strategy currently being adopted by the CBN needs a rethink.
