He said there should be an internal discussion between Nigeria and Niger based on their bilateral relationship.
“He’s done it before, and he’s going to do it again, but prevention, for us, is the focus more than cure.”
The closest any of his predecessors got to the 35% affirmative action for women was when Goodluck Jonathan achieved a 31% representation in 2011.
“I commended him for a lot of the things he’s doing early in his term, not easy; macro, fiscal reforms, and stability are very important. He’s very determined to do the right thing,” said the Bank’s president.
“There is concern that the success of the coup in Niger would significantly dampen ECOWAS’s reputation,” a Foreign Affairs Ministry official said.
Tinubu said it was the first bold step in his efforts to establish a strong and virile energy sector and deliver uninterrupted power to all Nigerians.
“About 7 northern states who share border with Niger Republic namely Sokoto, Kebbi, Katsina, Zamfara, Jigawa, Yobe and Borno will be negatively affected,” they said.

“Any aggression or attempted aggression against the State of Niger will see an immediate and unannounced response from the Niger Defence and Security Forces on one of (the bloc’s) members.”
The junta said that this was done to free Niger from bad governance and insecurity.
He praised the entrepreneurial ingenuity of the renowned industrialist and his abiding faith in Nigeria.
