Former Governor of Borno State, Ali Modu Sheriff, describes the claim that the chairmanship post of the All Progressives Congress had been zoned to the north central section of the country, as ‘fake news’. According to the former governor, other chairmanship aspirants of the APC are afraid of going head-to-head with him at the convention of the party slated for February 26th.
To discuss Ali Modu Sheriff’s bid to become the next chairman of the APC, is his ally and Head of his Media Team, Dr Cairo Ojougboh, a medical doctor-turned-politician who was also the Deputy National Chairman of the PDP when Sheriff held sway in the party. He decamped with Sheriff to the APC in 2018.
