Building Collapse Claims Ten Lives in Ibadan’s Jegede Olunloyo Area

At least ten individuals have lost their lives following the collapse of a building in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State. The incident took place on Thursday in the Jegede Olunloyo area, within the Olorunsogo axis of Ono Ara Local Government Area.

According to a statement from the Oyo State Fire Service Agency, the agency received a distress call at approximately 2 a.m. regarding the collapse. 

The statement noted, “10 persons have been recovered from the debris of the collapsed building, while seven persons were rescued alive.

“Rescue operations are ongoing.”
