Nigeria’s main opposition party, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has said President Muhammadu Buhari’s led federal government consistently fails to accept advice and possible solutions to the numerous issues plaguing the country.

National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Kola Ologbondiyan said there are no instances where the party has spoken about issues in the country, without preferring solutions. He likened Buhari’s administration and the governing All Progressives Congress (APC) to a deaf and dumb.
“You can only talk to a government that listens. I don’t think there is any engagement that the People’s Democratic Party has done on issues in our country that is not backed with possible solutions. But you are talking to a government, a party that is akin to a deaf and dumb political party,” Ologbondiyan said when he featured on an ARISE News programme, The Morning Show.
“When PDP was in government, we had the inter-party relations officials whether as ministers or as advisers.
“In the about five to six years of this administration, what have they taken from all the suggestions that the PDP has made. We are in a system of administration that doesn’t listen to the other side. So no matter what you say to them, they are deaf and dumb, they are not interested, they are all-knowing, and that’s why they are failing.”
