Some Nigerians have reacted to President Muhammadu Buhahi who on Tuesday said that without his rail and road projects, people will be trekking from Lagos to Ibadan, the Oyo state capital.
The senate on Tuesday asked the federal government to declare a state of emergency on federal roads to improve on alternative means of transportation in the country.
The resolution of the senate follows a recent hike in airfares. The upper legislative chamber also asked the Federal government to pay the debt allegedly owed to the Federal Road Maintenance Agency.
A federal high court in Abuja has dismissed a suit by the Nigerian Bar Association seeking to invalidate some provisions in the Nigeria Police Force Regulations which forbids unmarried female police officers from getting pregnant.
