Buhari Inaugurates Nigeria End Malaria Council, Names Dangote as Chair

President Muhammadu Buhari has launched the Nigeria End Malaria Council (NEMC).

The 16 member council, led by Aliko Dangote, President of Dangote Group, was inaugurated on Tuesday at the state house, Abuja.

The high-level council of individuals from public and private sector, convened by President Buhari will oversee the country’s journey towards malaria elimination and ensure that sufficient resources are available to achieve it.

The Council members are: Shehu Ibrahim, Permanent Secretary, Office of the Vice President on Political and Economic Affairs, Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State and Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF), Sen. Yahaya Oloriegbe, Chairman, Senate Committee on Health, Hon. Abubakar Dahiru, Chairman, House Committee on AIDS, TB and Malaria, Dr Ehanire, Hon. Ekumankama, Mahmuda Mamman, Permanent Secretary, Federal Minister of Health.
