Former President Muhammadu Buhari has praised the efforts of President Bola Tinubu, acknowledging the challenges facing the nation and the tough task of governance.
Buhari said this on Sunday while receiving the comptroller-general and members of the management team of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) in Daura, Katsina State.
In response to the ongoing economic challenges, Buhari urged Nigerians to endure the hardship and support the policies and programs of the current administration.
“I thank you very much for coming. I very much appreciate it. I think Tinubu has done very well. Nigeria is so complex. Really, there isn’t much anybody can do,” Buhari said
Bashir Adeniyi, the comptroller-general of customs, also expressed gratitude to the former president for his role in transforming the Nigeria Customs Service during his tenure.
Adeniyi assured that the service would remain committed to securing the country’s borders, contributing to the enhancement of Nigeria’s economy.
