Yung Filly

Yung Filly, the British rapper and popular online personality, has been charged with rape allegations in Australia. Real name Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos, the 29-year-old is widely recognised for his involvement with the YouTube collective Beta Squad and for his work presenting shows on BBC Three.

Barrientos was arrested in Brisbane on Tuesday before being extradited to Perth for a court appearance the following day. He now faces multiple serious charges, including four counts of sexual penetration without consent, three counts of assault occasioning bodily harm, and one count of impeding a person’s breathing by applying pressure to their neck.

The allegations stem from an incident that reportedly took place on September 28th, when Barrientos is said to have brought a woman in her 20s back to his hotel room. At the time, he was in Perth performing at the nightclub Bar120 as part of a music tour. Following the arrest, Barrientos appeared in Perth Magistrates Court, where his barrister, Seamus Rafferty SC, successfully applied for bail on his behalf.

The British personality is no stranger to the spotlight, having appeared in high-profile UK television programs such as “Soccer Aid” on ITV and “The Great Celebrity Bake Off” for “Stand Up To Cancer” on Channel 4. In 2021, Barrientos also won a MOBO Award for Best Media Personality.

As of now, his representatives have not commented on the charges. The case has sent shockwaves through his fanbase, many of whom are waiting to hear further developments.
