British High Commissioner to Nigeria Speaks on Global Education Summit and Keeping Nigerian Schools Safe

The United Kingdom, in partnership with Kenya and the Global Partnership for Education, GPE, will be co-hosting a two-day Global Education Summit to kick-off in London in Wednesday.
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta will co-host the summit in a hybrid format with participants attending live sessions on GPE’s virtual platform and a small in-person event in London, if travel restrictions allow.
Joining ARISE News’ Morning Show on Tuesday to discuss the importance of the summit and how it can assist to keep Nigerian schools safe was the British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Ambassador Catriona Laing.
Laing spoke on how the summit will be an opportunity for world leaders to make five-year pledges to support GPE’s work to invest in education and improve access for girls in up to 90 countries and territories.
