Botswana’s Tebogo Becomes First African To Win Olympic 200m Gold 

Letsile Tebogo broke the African 200m record to become the continent’s first winner over the half lap with 19.46 seconds.

Botswana’s Letsile Tebogo upset Noah Lyles’ plan for an Olympic sprint double by storming to victory in the 200m in Paris on Thursday.

Tebogo clocked an African record of 19.46 sec for gold with American Kenny Bednarek taking silver in 19.62sec and Lyles bronze in 19.70sec.
