Bollywood Star Saif Ali Khan Hospitalised After Violent Home Intrusion

Prominent Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan has been hospitalised with multiple stab injuries after an intruder allegedly forced entry into his residence and attacked him.  

The incident occurred in the early hours of Thursday in a high-end locality of Mumbai, where Khan resides with his family. According to reports, Mumbai Police informed that the actor sustained injuries during an altercation with an unidentified individual who broke into his home shortly after midnight.  

While Khan’s family has yet to issue any public statement, his publicity team described the incident as an “attempted burglary” but refrained from providing additional details. The actor is currently receiving treatment at Lilavati Hospital, where he is undergoing surgery. Niraj Uttamani, the hospital’s chief operating officer, confirmed that Khan suffered six stab wounds, two of which are severe, reports stated.

“One is close to the spine. He is being operated upon by a team of specialist doctors,” Uttamani said.  

Deputy Commissioner of Police Dixit Gedam, stated, “An unknown person entered the house of the actor. After that, an argument broke out between him and the intruder.”

In a statement released on Thursday morning, Khan’s team urged fans and the media to respect the actor’s privacy, emphasising that the matter is under police investigation.
