US President Joe Biden, who said earlier this week he thought Vladimir Putin was a killer, will meet with the Russian leader “when the time is right,” according to the White House.
On Thursday, Putin invited Biden to hold live online talks in the coming days.

Biden didn’t respond directly to the offer when reporters asked him Friday on his way to Atlanta, saying only, “I’m sure we’ll talk at some point.”
White House spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters Biden will “not back off” and will be very frank and very open about that relationship.”
Asked when the US will implement sanctions on Moscow, the president said “that will come in time.”
His comments come after a tense week between the two countries, in which Russia recalled its ambassador in Washington after Biden’s remarks.
