Content company, BBC Studios on Wednesday, announced that it has secured a major deal with streaming service, ARISEPlay, in Nigeria.
The commercial subsidiary of the BBC disclosed this a few minutes ago via its Instagram handle, @bbcstudios.
ARISEPlay, since its unveiling in March this year by Africa’s leading media and luxury brand, ARISE MEDIA GROUP, has continued to boast of a bold new identity while showcasing the best in worldwide entertainment from Hollywood to Nollywood.
In a statement from the group signed by its Brand and Marketing Lead, Sakina Renneye, ARISEPlay features all of ARISE’s industry-leading original productions.
“The service will ride on the back of an ongoing $100m seed funding being raised through venture capital firms,” it added.
And with its exclusive agreement with the likes of SONY Pictures, FilmOne and other independent producers, the group highlighted that ARISEPlay will ensure its subscribers get to see the best content from both sides of the Atlantic, all at the ease of their fingertips.
