Banky W: I’m Not Contesting to Defend PDP’s History, But To Reform It

PDP’s Candidate for Eti-Osa Federal Constituency, Bankole Wellington popularly known as Banky W says his choice to run for elections under the umbrella of the PDP is not to defend its history of wrongdoings in Nigeria but to be able to affect its future.

According to Mr. Wellington, “the longer we sit out the process, the longer the results will be bad” emphasising his resolve to serve as a bridge into mainstream politics with Lagos and Eti-Osa as his starting point.

Mr. Wellington attributes the struggle in getting the party’s ticket as symbolic and an Inspiration that the fight for good leadership is not over, adding that “Nigerians must engage with Nigeria where it is, not where we want it to be, we have to stand and fight for what we believe in and by God’s grace we will be successful.”
