Bangladesh’s parliament was dissolved following PM Hasina’s resignation after student leaders set a deadline and threatened action.

Bangladesh’s parliament was dissolved on Tuesday, according to a statement from the president’s office, following Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s resignation and flight from the country amid violent protestpfor her removal.

The announcement came just hours after student leaders set a deadline for dissolving parliament and threatened to launch a “strict programme” if their demands were not met.
