Industry players from 98 countries across the world gathered in Abuja, Nigeria’s federal capital, for the AVIATION AFRICA 2023 Summit and Exhibition, to discuss ways to unlock the vast potential of the continent’s aviation industry.
The two-day event was opened by Nigeria’s Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, who outlined the federal government’s plans for the country’s Aviation sector.
He said steps are being taken to address the forex difficulties faced by domestic and foreign airlines in Nigeria.
The event also saw Nigeria sign a technical agreement with South Africa on air safety and security.
