After almost three years of marriage, US singer Ariana Grande and actor Dalton Gomez have officially announced their divorce.
The divorce was finalized during a Los Angeles Superior Court ruling made on Tuesday.
Grande filed for divorce six months ago, citing irreconcilable differences.
The couple started dating in January 2020, shortly before the Covid-19 pandemic. They were spotted kissing in February 2020 at a restaurant in Los Angeles, and spent quarantine together.
In December of 2020, Grande announced her engagement in an Instagram post, captioning it “Forever n then some”. In May 2021, they were married in an intimate ceremony at Grande’s home in Montecito, California.
Under their settlement, Grande will make a one-time payment of $1.25m (£980,000) to Mr Gomez, but she will not pay any further alimony in the future. However, she will pay up to $25,000 towards his legal bills.
The settlement also awards Mr Gomez half the proceeds from the sale of their Los Angeles home.
The couple had a prenuptial agreement in place when they separated more than a year ago, according to court documents. The divorce was concluded swiftly because they had no children and no legal disputes.
