The National Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje urged Nigerian students, especially those from less privileged backgrounds, to apply for the Students Education Loan Fund.
Ganduje, spoke at a sensitization workshop on education loan fund, organized by Kano chapter of the APC, held in Kano on Tuesday.
He Said the loan fund was designed to provide financial assistance to deserving students, helping to bridge the financial gap and promote easy access to education for all.
Ganduje represented by DG Campaign Gawuna Garu Alhaji Rabiu Suleiman Bichi, encouraged students to apply for the Education Loan to improve learning.
According to him, “the aim of the sensitization was to educate students about the readiness of President Bola Tinubu to increase access to Education in the country.”
“we have a president who is visionary for a better Nigeria in the future.”
He also spoke on the advantages of the Education Loan Fund which includes provisions of education to the vulnerable and less privileged.
Ganduje, maintained the collecting load is not prohibited in Islam adding that, there is no verse in the holy Quran that was against taking loan.
“I can tell you that Islam is not against taking loan saying that the longest chapter in Quran support taken loan, therefore, student should be wary of people that would misadvised them to access the loan”
The President Kano state APC Students Council Yahya Usman, said the essence of the program is to enlighten students on the benefits of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund scheme.
He said, the loan is accessible to all students as it will help in promoting Education at the tertiary institutions.
He commended President Bola Tinubu for the his resolves in assisting students and making it possible for Nigerian students.
