Another Setback for Nigeria at Olympics as Oduduru Gets Disqualified from 100m

Everything continues to go wrong for team Nigeria at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics as Divine Oduduru was disqualified from the 100m men’s event for a false start on Saturday.

Oduduru was one of Nigeria’s best athletics prospects for a medal at the games in Japan.

The video replay showed America’s Fred Kerley had made a movement before the gun but it was Oduduru who was disqualified, starting from Lane 2.

Earlier today, team Nigeria also discovered that 100m women medal hopeful, Blessing Okagbare had been handed a ban from the Olympics because of a failed drug test.
