Angry Mob in Ondo Sets Car Ablaze After Fatal Accident Claims Two Lives

Two yet-to-be-identified men have been crushed to death in a road accident which occurred in Ore, the headquarters of Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State.

THISDAY gathered on Sunday that incident, which occurred at Idi Mango area around 10pm on Saturday, involved a car with no registration plate and a motorcycle, along the ever-busy Ore -Okitipupa road.

Eyewitnesses who preferred anonymity recounted that the driver was driving under the influence of alcohol and  at high speed when he hit the two persons on the motorcycle.

He said: “The driver ran away, having realised he had committed a crime. One of the victims died on the spot, while the other was taken to the hospital for treatment but later died.

Meanwhile, the incident led to angry mob setting the car ablaze.
