Anambra Governor Soludo Sacks Commissioner for Information, Paul Nwosu, Swears in Mefor

Anambra Governor Charles Soludo has sacked his commissioner for information, Paul Nwosu, and sworn in Law Mefor.

Anambra State Governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo has sacked his commissioner for information, Sir Paul Nwosu and sworn in Dr Law Mefor.

THISDAY gathered from sources that Nwosu was sacked for incompetence, because of the dwindling image of the governor, especially in the face of next year’s governorship election.

The source said: “As I speak to you, Mr Paul Nwosu has packed his bag, and we’re just waiting for the news to be announced by the Press Secretary  to the governor, Mr Christian Aburime.”

When journalists reached out to Aburime, he said he can not confirm the news yet.

Meanwhile, Dr Law Mefor, a public relations guru has been appointed as the new commissioner. Mefor was early yesterday screened by the Anambra State assembly, and subsequently sworn in at the Anambra State Executive Chambers at the government house.

There was however no statement from the state government over the sack and appointment of the old and new commissioners.
