Amaechi, Nwajiuba, Onu Won’t Return as Buhari Nominates 7 New Ministers

President Muhammadu Buhari has asked the senate to confirm seven nominees for appointment as ministers.

Buhari’s request was contained in two letters read by Senate President Ahmad Lawan on the floor of the upper legislative chamber on Tuesday.

Rotimi Amaechi, Ogbonnaya Onu, Godswill Akpabio and Emeka Nwajiuba who all resigned to pursue presidential bids will not return.

The President sought confirmation of 7 ministerial nominees; Henry Iko (Abia State), Umana Umana (Akwa Ibom), Ekuma Joseph (Ebonyi), Goodluck Opiah (Imo), Umar El-Yakub (Kano), Ademola Adegoroye (Ondo) and Odum Odi (Rivers State).
