After nearly three weeks abroad, President Bola Tinubu returned to Abuja on Sunday night, following an official visit to China and a stopover in the United Kingdom, where he met with the King of England, King Charles III
The president was received at around 10:40pm on Sunday at the presidential wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe international airport by top government officials.
Tinubu while in China, attended the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation and held talks with President Xi Jinping and while in the United Kingdom, the president held discussions on climate change with the King of England.
Over the weekend, a video emerged showing the president leaving St Mary hospital in London, eliciting a flurry of reactions.
The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited Lifted its first consignment of petrol from the Dangote Refinery in Lagos, marking a significant milestone in Nigeria’s journey towards industrialisation and energy security.
The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun, who led the government delegation to the refinery, described the event as a major win for local refining.
There had been reports that NNPC purchased petrol from Dangote refinery at N766 per litre.
However, NNPC said for “this initial loading, it was N898 per litre so far”. NNPC has confirmed petrol prices from Dangote Refinery across Nigeria will be sold at N950/litre in Lagos, N1,019 in Borno.
The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project has sued President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, alleging his government’s failure to reverse the increase in the pump price of petrol.
SERAP, said the lawsuit was filed due to the President’s failure to probe the allegations of corruption and mismanagement in the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, Joined in the suit as Respondents are the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi, SAN, and the NNPC.
SERAP wants the court to compel President Tinubu to direct the NNPC to reverse the unjust, illegal, unconstitutional and unreasonable increase in the price of petrol from N845 per litre to N600 per litre.

“We will stop all migrant flights, end all illegal entries, terminate the Kamala “phone app” for smuggling illegals; revoke deportation immunity, suspend refugee resettlement, and return Kamala’s “illegal migrants” to their home countries.
His post is coming after his first debate with Kamala Harris, when he claimed that Haitians living in Springfield are eating cats and dogs.
