Patience Umo Eno, the First Lady of Akwa Ibom State, has passed away as a result of an illness. In a statement issued early Friday morning, the State Commissioner for Information, Ini Ememobong, confirmed the news of her demise.
Mrs. Patience Eno peacefully passed away in a hospital on Thursday, September 26, 2024, after a short illness, with her family by her side, according to the statement.
Furthermore, the statement reads, “The family submits to the will of the Almighty and asks for the prayers and support of kind-hearted individuals during this difficult time.
“Further details will be provided by the family as necessary. In the meantime, the family kindly requests privacy as they mourn their beloved wife, mother and grandmother.”
The statement also provided that Governor Pastor Umo Eno expressed his gratitude to all those who have supported the first family during this challenging period. He assured citizens that his commitment to the state remains unwavering, despite this substantial personal loss.
