Agbonayinma: President Tinubu Has Access To All Information Involving Investigation Of Illegal Oil Bunkerers

Former member House of Representatives, Agbonayinma Ehiozuwa Johnson, has said the government is working endlessly to investigate and capture those involved in illegal oil bunkering in Nigeria.

On Friday, Tantita Security Service Nigeria Limited and the Joint Task Force, Operation Delta Safe, captured a ship with a twelve-person crew transporting 150,000 metric tonnes of crude oil off the coast of Delta State in Nigerian seas before setting it ablaze.

The questions plaguing the minds of the public are, what would happen to those involved in the theft and who truly are the culprits?

In an interview with ARISE NEWS on Thursday, Agbonayinma stated that though he cannot give full details of the investigation going on, he is assured that the president is aware of those involved and will stop at nothing to prevent “the cabals” from “derailing his wheel of progress”.

“I work for the government up until today and I’m a federal commissioner of code of conduct bureau. When you’re doing investigation, it is not for you to just put things in the public domain.

“But I can tell you that the current president is aware and privileged to know all the information going on. So just be patient.

“I’m telling you with what I know, I have full confidence in Mr. President. I don’t want to put the information out there.

“We need the president time to review the information. We have to study it. And he’s working on it.

“The president is angry, he’s not happy with what’s going on in Nigeria. Our resources were stolen, taking crude oil out of Nigeria to a global destination.”

The politician expressed his confidence that the presidency saying, “I have full confidence that this present government under the able leadership of President Tinubu, and I know for a fact, with no doubt in my mind whatsoever, with what I’ve seen so far, having had an opportunity to discuss with some of those in government the areas of how we can combat this menace .

“It’s going to have to require a very combative measure because those involved are highly placed people in society. I’m talking about powerful people who have billions to fight back. When you fight corruption, guess what? Corruption fights back. This is my experience over the years. I will say this, it is unfortunate where we’ve found ourselves.

“I want you all to join hands with the current government I believed heads mare going to roll. With what I know Mr. President is going to do. He’s ready to break the barrier and break that cabal. It is a serious cabal, because if not they will always try to derail the wheel of his progress and they will fail. Because knowing the past antecedent of the president as a governor.

“It is unacceptable, it’s pathetic  and dishearting what is happening to the Nigerian people. What some few cabal have turned this country to be like. “

Mr. Ehiozuwa Johnson Agbonayinma expressed his interest in running for the governorship seat in Bayelsa State under the All progressives Congress (APC) party. He expressed that his main focuses would not just be on women affairs in the state but also on the youth and leaders with the vision of leading the state collectively.

“You have to involve everyone, both home and abroad. It takes a village to raise a child. It also takes a village to make Edo State a better place. And it’s possible if only all of us collectively put our heads together. Not only a governor can solve the problem of Edo State. It will require the effort of those of us, home and abroad to place Edo state amongst the best states in Nigeria.”
