Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari will travel to London, the United Kingdom, on Friday for a scheduled medical follow-up.
Presidential spokesman Femi Adesina in a statement on Thursday announced the scheduled medical trip in a brief statement.
“President Muhammadu Buhari will proceed to London, the United Kingdom on Friday, June 25, 2021, for a scheduled medical follow-up,” the statement read.
“He is due back in the country during the second week of July, 2021,” Adesina added.
By the time the Nigerian leader returns to the country, he will have spent more than 200 days going on medical tourism since he was sworn-in as Nigeria’s President in May 2015.
In comparison, millions of Nigerians do not have access to healthcare and have no form of health insurance cover.
