Again, Bandits on Rampage in Kaduna,  Abduct 14 in Fresh Attack on Kajuru

Fourteen people have been reportedly abducted in an  attack on Dogon Noma community in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna state.
One person was also said to be seriously injured during the attack, said to have occurred on Saturday at about 5:45am.
Hon. Usman Danlami Stingo, a lawmaker representing Kajuru at the Kaduna State House of Assembly, confirmed the incident in a telephone interview on Sunday in Kaduna.
He said Dogon Noma is the village where he comes from, lamenting that the community had been  under constant attacks by bandits since 2019.
Stingo said, “The bandits invaded the community on Saturday, at about 5:45am and kidnapped 14 people while one person was seriously injured.
“The attacks on our community have been persistent since 2019 and there seems to be no to end.”
The lawmaker lamented that the attacks have been persistent because”The government seemed to have  no political will to end banditry.”
He said, “If the government has the political will to end it, soldiers will clear the bandits from their hideouts in the bushes within few days.”
According to him, “In 2019, the bandits killed 71 people in just one day. In 2022, they abducted 28 people in the community after killing 32 people in one day. We had to pay ransom with difficulties.”
The attack on Dogon Noma occured barely four days after the bandits invaded Buda Hausa community,  also in Kajuru LGA and abducted  61 people who are still in captivity.
Mansir Hassan, spokesperson person of the Kaduna state police command could not be reached as his mobile phone was switched off when contacted.
