The seven Nigerian Airforce personnel who died in a plane crash on Sunday have been laid to rest leaving their family members and friends in tears.
The burial took place at the National Military Cemetery in the nation’s capital Abuja on Thursday morning.
The aircraft crashed while en route to Minna to conduct intelligence missions towards the rescue of the abducted 42 students and staff of Government Science Secondary School Kagara in Niger state.
The victims are Haruna Gadzama (pilot); Henry Piyo (co-pilot); Micheal Okpara (airborne tactical observation system specialist) and Bassey Etim (ATOS Specialist).
Others are Olasunkanmi Olawunmi (ATOS specialist), Ugochukwu Oluka (ATOS specialist) and Adewale Johnson (onboard technician).
Governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi, Minister of Defence Bashir Magashi, and the service chiefs attended the burial ceremony.
