Nigeria is marking its 61st Independence Day, an anniversary of its freedom from the British colonial government.
But over six decades after Africa’s most populous country became free politically, there are questions about the democratic freedom of the people of Nigeria.
There are also growing concerns over the inability of the country to cater to the needs of its huge population and the lopsidedness of its federalism which is threatening its unity.
